16 to 19 Tuition Fund

In order to support Sixth Form students adversely impacted by school closure last year, the school spent all funds on targeted tuition for specific students and no funding will need to be carried forward.

This year, the school will use the 16 to 19 tuitions as follows:

Students were identified for this extra support on the basis of a) entrance into Sixth Form without a grade 4 in Mathematics or English b) students in receipt of 16-19 Bursary c) students identified as having significant gaps in knowledge following school closure.

The tuition fund will provide the following:

Three periods of Maths GCSE tuition for a small group of Year 12 students who did not achieve a grade 4 at GCSE

Three periods of English Language tuition for a small group of Year 12 students who did not achieve a grade 4 at GCSE

One day each week of subject specific mentoring for a number of Year 13 students with significant gaps in Chemistry, Business, Economics and Psychology.
